How to Create Your Own Music Artist Fan Site

October 19, 2011 by Roland

Everyone has that one music artist they just can’t get enough of. Be it Beyonce, Lady Gaga, George Strait or Metallica, sometimes the best way to praise and connect with equally enthusiastic fans like yourself is to create your own music artist fan site. While there are many ways that you can go about creating your web page and sharing your passion for an artist there are several aspects that you want to keep in mind when creating your site.

First, you want to keep your site positive, friendly and professional, keeping in mind that you are trying to share the idea of good music with others. Your content should always be directed to your music artist and their videos, songs, or news regarding them, introducing new content that is not related to your music artist of choice makes your viewers feel that it is okay to do the same. Too much of a shift from the basis of your site will change its purpose and dedication to the music artist.

When considering content to post on your music artist fan site here are some ideas that always draw in attention of your viewers:

    • Biography of your chosen music artist
    • Songs and albums that have been released (perhaps even accompanying lyrics)
    • New music
    • Music videos
    • Blog to share comments on your artist
    • Recent news on your artist

Keep in mind that whatever content you are going to include should always be taken from a reliable source and you should always update your site to reflect current events in the life of your artist. There is nothing worse than reading about something that was yesterday’s news on a music artist site, and you certainly won’t gain more traffic to your site that way.

Creating a successful music artist fan site does not have to be a challenge by any means. You are creating something fun and exciting, and a great place to share your passion for music with other fans like yourself.
