Someone gave David a gift in a bag from some store. The girl in a pic on the bag had a really short skirt on.
He looked at it...kind of did a double take and said:
"I'm just going to draw some shorts on her... I'm weird, I know."
the bag he drew the shorts on...good for him...sticks to his beliefs no matter what.
I. ADORE. HIM.

I don't know what to say about his drawing shorts on that girl on the bag thingy. It is quite weird actually.

gengen- Dressing modestly (not showing too much of your body) is a high value to David. That is why he wore shorts instead of briefs (Cook wore briefs)in his Guitar Hero video and that is why he had them change the girl in his video that does the cart wheel from a bikini to shorts and top. Everyone get use to David's standards because I guarantee they will not change. Yes, he will be different from other guys in that instead of oogling girls that are half dressed he will want to protect them and show the highest respect for them. In my book, he is to be treasured and admired. He calls it "weird" I call it "heroic".
I meant "interesting" use of his Sharpie, but OMHeck, isn't he amazing!! Ye, patti,I find this just another window into David's mind.

Thanks Patti for the clarification. I guess I need to have a cram course on David's morals now. Heck! I am all for David's morals. Whatever he finds comfortable is ok with me. He must be appalled by seeing so many female fans in their short skirts and tank tops, and all of them try to hug him too!
No one is going to bring this kid over to the 'dark side'! he knows what his standards are and isnt embarrassed to share them with others.I admire him greatly--the entertainment industry needs a guy like this--marches to the beat of his own drum.

Just a quick response back to gengen - The thing you need to know about David is that he may be a little uncomfortable with the girls and their "skin-showing attire" hugging him, (I have noticed, much to my happiness, that he is getting less shy about even hugging at all!) he at least would never be judgmental. David loves his fans so much, regardless, that any small thing like this (drawing more clothes on a girl) just shows the world where his mind is, and yes, his moral compass.
Hahaha! I have that same American Eagle shopping bag lying around somewhere in my room. I remember making the same comment about the model's shorts. Good on David for always sticking to his morals! =D
I totally agree with what you are saying patti. So many guys in our society today have their morals down the toliet drain when it comes to girls. David's convictions are a breath of fresh air in an industry whose morals are slowly disappearing if they ever existed at all.
It just makes me love him more. :)
I LOVE IT!!!! Go David! (I had to draw a swimsuit on a picture of Michael Phelps once before I could stand to look at it. I mean, he had one on somewhere, but he wears them so LOW it was cropped out. So there you go-- David's not the only one using a Sharpie that way.)

I love David, but the bag thing was a little odd, I agree with Gengen, but to each his/her own.
David so respects women. In today's world, isn't it refreshing and wonderful. I just love him. What a catch he is going to make some day.
If he really respected women he'd respect their right to wear mini-skirts without acting like it's some sort of sin. Since when are mini-skirts heathen attire?
